How to Create/Add An Administrator Account, Assign Security Access

WHAT ARE THE ADMINISTRATOR AND THE SECURITY ACCESS LEVEL?

THE ADMINISTRATOR

The in-house staffs who have access the login to myNet.Office. They could be  CEO, Sales Person, Marketing Staffs, Warehouse People...
There are few security measures that myNet.Office have implemented to make sure WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO WHERE.

CHECK YOUR ADMIN LOG DATABASE THE DATE AND TIME

Every time you login, myNet.Office will create a entry record that has EMAIL, NAME, DATETIME.. of login in a secure database.
For security reason, we don't tell the name of the log database. But we will let you know the name of this security log database after you registered.
By looking at the login records, you know if there was a stranger breaking into your system.

NOTE:
It doesn't matter. Login some one else system is illegal. Is like breaking in some one's office.

HOW DOES THE  SECURITY OF ACCESS WORK?

It is the security that allows the webmaster can assign who can access or block access to the menu features.
Such as, you can block the Sales Person named John Smith to access to [Site] menu. When login, he can't access can't open the pull down Site menu.

STEPS TO CREATE A LOGIN FOR ADMINISTRATOR AND GIVE HIM/HER SECURITY ACCESS LEVEL

CREATE A NEW ADMIN ACCOUNT FOR A STAFF

After having created new Admin account, that staff can login.
  1. From myNet.Dbase, open table x_admin -> Click button [Add New Entry]. Or Click on the icon . Or Click on the first column primary key EMAIL.
    These actions are for to open Data Entry.

    : Table x_admin is used to add new Administrators so that they can login as Admin to website. Click first column key EMAIL to open Data Entry.
    The Password field is protected so that no one knows other's Armin's passwords even Supervisors. If forgot, Supervisor must re-enter new password.

    NOTE: You can always expand table x_admin by Add More Columns in the tables. Such as Add fields: Supervisors, Date Hired, Current Project...
    Other tables like x_customer, x_invoice can always expand.
     
  2. Open Data Entry First, click [CLEAR] button. ->  Enter all the information for new admin is maria@netthruoffice.com to login. -> Click [INSERT] button to add new administrator. Access Level = super, admin, user. Here is the description:
    • Access Level = super means this person can access all features. Can't not overwrite.
    • Access Level = admin means this person can access all features by default. Can be overwritten.

ASSIGN SECURITY ACCESS TO EACH ADMINISTRATOR

Table x_admin_access is used to overwrite any administrators who have access = admin. Thus after you have created the admin account for that staff, you assign him/her access = admin. By default, that staff can access any feature. However, you overwrite his/her features using table x_admin_access.

Table Open: From myNet.Dbase -> x_admin_access
IS_DBASE Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole myNet.Dbase menu. If access = no. This means this admin Can't open table. Can't create table. Can't do any thing with database.
IS_SITE Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole [SITE]  menu.
- NO means Can't create site. Can't delete site. Can't open site. Can't Save As Site.
IS_PAGE Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole myNet.Page  menu.
- NO means Can't create web page. Can't delete webpage. Can't open webpage...
IS_FILE Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole [FILE]  menu
IS_SHOPPINGCART Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole [SHOPPING CART]  menu.
- NO means Can't create Catalog, Category, Add New Product Item.
IS_CALENDAR Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole [CALENDAR]  menu.
IS_TOOLS  Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole [TOOLS]  menu.
- NO Can't access a whole [TOOLS] menu. Means can't use Sales Invoice Quote Tool for Get Quote. Can't use Ftp Upload/Download file.. Can't use myNet.Explore.
IS_FTPUPLOAD Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole [FTPUPLOAD]  menu.
- NO = Can't use Ftp Upload/Download files.
IS_COLLABORATION Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole [COLLABORATION]  menu.
IS_NETEXPLORE Select = { yes or no }  to allow this admin access to the whole [NETEXPLORE]  menu.
- NO = Can't use myNet.Explore File Management.

STEP BY STEP TO SETUP SECURITY ACCESS  FEATURES

  1. From myNet.Dbase, open table x_admin_access -> Click button [Add New Entry]. Or Click on the icon . Or Click on the first column primary key EMAIL.
    These actions are same for to open Data Entry.

  2.  Data Entry of table x_admin_access: Enter or select yes or no the security access for maria@netthruoffice.com.

CONCLUSION

• It takes 5 minutes to create a new Admin Account for in-house staffs. And assign its security access.

• Now, you have a peace of mind to know that Sales Staffs and Warehouse Staffs can't access to database and Site menu. The rest features are not big concern.
